Why are all of the cops in the soap operas I'm watching black all of a sudden? There's got to be a better in on the set than that one. Come to think of it, why am I watching soap operas? Back in the snare again...
You know, many tv programs are soap operas, including CSI, Law and Order, and 24. They follow a regular cast of characters across various stages, including a micro-exposure of some aspect of their lives. But you are, perhaps, referring to a daytime series or two??
I do realize now that I wasn't clear about it, but I was, in fact, talking about a few daytime soap operas. The night time variety rarely get as over the top as the daytime ones do (with a few ridiculous exceptions).
But I just thought it was an odd thing to see on two straight shows. Not only were there two black cops investigating cases, but both of their partners were black, too.I get why it happened, but there had to be a few more vacancies left in the cast list, didn't there?
