If what I saw of Black Snake Moan was any indicator, then yes, the film was marketed incorrectly. But in their defense, marketing it correctly wouldn't have gotten them any more viewers, anyway. Besides, Christina Ricci just isn't as hot as she used to be. Sorry, I'm not down with the toothpicks.
