I'm not going to bother showing you all of Friday's Around the Net segment, because all you need to know is that they showed this clip during it minus the last few bits of dialogue at the end. But honestly, those last lines are so irrelevant to scene it matters not. In fact, I'm betting that you are so stunned by the lack of breath you have after laughing or screaming in shock like I did at the end of this scene that you won't even hear the last few lines they say.
There are so many different things I could add to this. I have a particularly choice rant about the Rifts RPG and SDC/MDC damage, but I'm going to let it go and just force this clip upon you. Your soul will not be the same after watching this. It's the perfect storm of crazy.
Note: Kevin and Olivia made an appeal to all viewers to e-mail G4TV and request/demand that they get the rights to Hard Ticket to Hawaii and air it as a Movie That Doesn't Suck. I don't know if the world could handle that amount of epic.

Why I Love Attack of the Show: Part 4
If you missed the Friday edition of Attack of the Show, then you missed an epic one. And I'd figure that you must have missed evrey episode that week. Because truly, if you ever loved the show, and saw any episode that week, you'd know that it was Pie Week, which led to this epic conclusion involving Olivia jumping into a giant pie. Did I mention the French Maid outfit? Even if you saw it, relive the glory again, one more time.
Some of the looks Olivia gave during the ordeal were priceless. And of course, there was the aftermath of said pie jump. Not nearly as epic, but possibly worth the price of admission.
Yes, Olivia apparently injured herself again. And while I'm on the AoTS Train, I might as well point out that today's show somehow went from one of the most abstract Around the Nets ever to one of the most epic episodes ever aired. I wasn't supposed to watch the whole thing, but somehow I ended up doing it.

Why I Love Attack of the Show: Part 3
With just a few small exceptions, I thought that the 01/13/09 airing of AoTS was about spot on perfect. But hey, judge it for yourself.
I particularly the double reference there near the end. And it's almost impossible to hate anything that references an Andy Sidaris production, especially when said reference is so far beyond epic. "This is for the Molokai cops..."

Why I Love Attack of the Show Part 2
Kevin Pereira has too much free time on his hands. Kanye West really can't sing that well. It is, in fact, a bit of a cheap shot, and the milk has gone bad. You officially have the answers to every question you were going to ask while watching this...

HouseTV: Ninja Advisory
As many people should know, I'm a big fan of televised insanity. As those same people will probably know, I am a huge fan of Ninja Warrior. G4TV's adopted Japanese import of the show Sasuke has its own crazed and deranged fan base here in the states.
What I love about the show is that it basically writes itself. 100 competitors of various ages, occupations, and levels of physical condition run the obstacle course from hell. Four stages of progressively more greuling challenges that most of the course runners never even see.
Sure, there are many other shows that embrace the concept. Most recently, the US show Wipeout did a pretty good job of garnering my attention for the summer (and hopefully many more to come). But what makes Ninja Warrior stand out from the others is that despite the humor that shows up, the show takes itself seriously.
Sure, there are any number of competitors that are there merely to evoke laughs (some classic legends never make it past the first obstacle). But there are also the elite of the elite - the All-Stars. Repeat performers whose personal stories are just as intriguing as the course itself. Shingo Yamamoto, a man who can track the course of his carrer at a gas station (from attendant to manager) through his course appearances. Shiratori, Nagano, and the tradgedy that is Yamada... the all have a place in my heart. And to this day, I occasionally will still scream, "Paul Hamm!" as loud as humanly possible.
The only downside to the series is that it covers a competition that lasts for one day and occurs (at best) semi-annually. That means that after just a few months of wacthing the show, you can theoretically watch every single torunament that has ever happened (since each tournament covers only 2-5 episodes on average). So, having sadly caught up completely with all of the episodes, my only solace comes from when there is a new tournament in Japan. G4, in their infinite wisdom, bottles up each and every episode from said tournaments and airs them in one big money shot that they call Ninja Fest.
And said Fest... occurs tomorrow.
I want to tell you that I'm not a sucker for this, but I am. And on top of it, not only is there an American Ninja special that covers the adventures of the American challengers sent by G4 ("There's four this time, so one of them's bound to have a personality!"), but Attack of the Show (which I've already stated is a guilty pleasure of mine) is doing a one-hour special that they filmed in Japan. On top of that, both Kevin and Olivia are supposed to attack the Ninja Warrior course.
I don't think I can sell this any more than I have now. Four and a half hours of Japanese stuff, followed by some American guys breaking things with their bare hands. What more do you want out of life? Tivo the Knight Rider for just this one night and check it out. Or do the opposite like I probably will. But make sure to check it out.

Why I Love Attack of the Show
Okay. So honestly, there's a million reasons to love the show, but this is the one I picked. The story goes like this: the AoTS Gang shows a clip from last week where guest host Layla Kayleigh (who by the way is another reason to watch the show) accidentally slaps the bejeezues out of guest host Chris Hardwick. There are several things funny about this bit as a whole. First, if you had seen Layla slap Chris to begin with, you'd be forced to admit that that in and of itself was worth revisiting. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as apologetic over an accident as Layla was, which unfortunately only served to make it funnier.
Kevin and Olivia then go on to say they don't see the big deal about it. See, they apparently do that all the time as part their pre-show hyping ritual. Which leads to this scene with Olivia slapping random staffers. If it had ended there, we'd still be good. But then, wait for it, it gets epic...
It's the commitment that gets me every time. Kevin Pereira not only smacks her, he full commits to it and walks off triumphant. But Olivia, to her credit, helps sell this with her mock shack. Of course, the way that show runs, she may not have seen that one coming for real. Ah, good times.
